If you’ve been watching our videos, you’ll know that we thought it was almost impossible to go sub 8 hours on this world championship course in Kona. Well, Patrick Lange has just made us eat our words.
In fact, he smashed it, and this is how he did it:
Total 7:52.39” breaking it by 8.01”
And to make today even more impressive, the former world record was broken by all three podium finishers. Second place finisher Bart Aernots also smashed the 8-hour barrier with at time 7.56.41”.
